About Shinsengumi
The Shinsengumi look has you wear a custom dandara haori and portray a corps member who rode through late-Edo Kyoto. We build the hair and makeup to the likeness of members such as Kondo Isami, Hijikata Toshizo and Okita Soji. It is a men’s-attire plan for women.

Every corps member is photographed on the Shinsengumi Plan (¥21,450 incl. tax). Please choose which member you would like to portray at booking.

The commander who led the Shinsengumi. Bold, yet deeply respected by his men.

Called the “Demon Vice-Commander,” he held the corps together with strict discipline.

Shipping is a flat ¥550 (incl. tax) nationwide; ¥1,100 (incl. tax) for Hokkaido, Okinawa and some remote islands.

- This is a men’s-attire plan for women. Male guests cannot use it.
- Group photography is possible for up to 3 guests together (one wig of each kind, two braided inners and forehead guards, and only one black haori, black collar wrap and body piece). As equipment is limited, some combinations may need to be discussed.
- You may bring up to 3 of your own items per style. Items that do not suit the look may be declined.
- For wigs you bring, we only do simple styling with wax or spray. Styling with curling irons, or cutting the wig, is not possible.
- We do not fully reproduce specific characters that could raise copyright issues.
- The same corps member (style) cannot be experienced by more than one guest at the same time.
- Costumes & accessories
- Because our costumes and accessories are one-of-a-kind, we replace them over time as they wear. The exact items shown in our photos may not always be available. Thank you for your understanding.
- Bringing your own items
- You may bring up to 3 of your own costume or prop items per style. Please see the rules on bringing items.
- Group photos
- When your whole group chooses the same studio set, group photos (2 shots) are possible for up to 4 people. For reasons of space, 5 or more people are split into separate groups.
- Commercial use

- Cancellation fees
- Cancellations the day before are charged 50% of the plan price; same-day and no-show cancellations, 100%. To change your date, please contact us as early as possible and we will do our best to help.
