About Kitsune no Yomeiri

The Kitsune no Yomeiri is a look that originated here, pairing a white shiromuku with a wataboshi hood. We reimagined the folktale scene as transformation photography, letting fragility and mystery live side by side. A light white-powder makeup is also available.

Shiromuku & wataboshi

A white kakeshita and uchikake with a wataboshi hood — purity and a touch of mystery.

Makeup

Besides standard hair and makeup, you may choose a light white-powder finish.

Tsunokakushi / red hood

As options, switch to a tsunokakushi or a red wataboshi to change the impression.

This family-shoot option lets the one guest experiencing the plan add two or more family members, for three or more guests in total. Family members joining will change into kimono and take part in the shoot together. Free hair styling is provided for additional female participants. Makeup is not included, but is available on request for +¥2,200 (incl. tax); it is a natural finish without false eyelashes. *Reservation required.

Four-Season Fox Scroll

Six looks that change with the seasons

The Four-Season Fox Scroll is a special plan whose color and attire change with the season. Price and delivery are the same for all six looks; only the attire changes. Each look has its own period, and experiencing it out of season incurs an extra ¥11,000 (incl. tax). As there is only one set of styling, if several guests want the same look we schedule them at staggered times.

Hairstyles, makeup and accessories

Face painting ¥3,850

Choose one design from our samples, applied to the cheek or similar. Reservation required. Not available on outdoor-shoot plans. Contact us if you would like to see samples in advance. A small accent between the brows is included at no extra charge.

Change to tsunokakushi ¥3,300

From wataboshi to tsunokakushi, paired with an ornate kanzashi. Your own hair must reach the shoulders. Limited to one guest per day. Reservation required.

Change to red wataboshi ¥3,300

A red-fabric wataboshi with a five-tier kanzashi for a lavish look. Limited to two guests per day. Reservation required.

Shipping is a flat ¥550 (incl. tax) nationwide; ¥1,100 (incl. tax) for Hokkaido, Okinawa and some remote islands.

For plans that do not state a limit, you may bring up to 3 of your own items per style.
For heat reasons, in warmer months garden shoots accept only 9:00 a.m. bookings. Suspended: Jul. 1–Aug. 31 and Dec. 30–Jan. 3.
In rain, outdoor shoots are switched to an indoor plan. For garden shoots, the engawa veranda may be unavailable depending on timing.
For garden plans, changes or cancellations must be made at least 5 days before your visit. Cannot be combined with other discounts or campaigns.

Costumes & accessories: Because our costumes and accessories are one-of-a-kind, we replace them over time as they wear. The exact items shown in our photos may not always be available. Thank you for your understanding.
Bringing your own items: You may bring up to 3 of your own costume or prop items per style. Please see the rules on bringing items.
Group photos: When your whole group chooses the same studio set, group photos (2 shots) are possible for up to 4 people. For reasons of space, 5 or more people are split into separate groups.

Cancellation fees: Cancellations the day before are charged 50% of the plan price; same-day and no-show cancellations, 100%. To change your date, please contact us as early as possible and we will do our best to help.
